Eligibility

1. Bachelor Degree of Engineering Sciences in Materials Science or Chemical Technology or Bachelor Degree of Natural Sciences in Chemistry or Physics, or Biology, or comparable education. Education documents must be accompanied by English translations of all certificates and transcripts along with approval of the documents authenticity;

2. If English is not your native language, all international students are required to provide a proof of English language knowledge. Preferably you should submit one of the following certificates with a minimum scores of:

IELTS  minimum overall grade of 5.5
TOEFL iBT  minimum 61
TOFEL paper-based minimum 530
TOEIC minimum 780
Cambridge exam  FCE
Pearson PTE minimum 47

3. Students applying for master programmes will be asked to record a video interview.

Description

The academic master’s study programme “Materials Science and Nanotechnologies” focused on the development of new materials and the use of modern technologies offers the acquisition of higher level technical education based on skills and competencies. In parallel with in-depth theoretical knowledge, the acquisition of practical skills is promoted not only in scientific institutes in Latvia, but also in manufacturing companies or foreign partner institutions within the ERASMUS+ mobility programmes specializing in “Materials Physics”, “Biomaterials”, “Traditional Inorganic Materials and Nanomaterials”, “Polymer Materials and Composites (including Nanocomposites)”.
