Description

Upon successful completion of this program, students will be prepared for an entry-level position in the networking/electronics industry. Students will acquire the necessary skills required by the high-tech, high-wage networking/electronics industry for entry-level positions. This program integrates classroom experience with hands-on lab exercises. Computers and networks used to support modern networking/electronics are also covered.

Student Learning Outcomes

  1. Construct, test, and verify the operation of various analog and digital circuits using basic electronics/networking test equipment.
  2. Explain the signaling and system structure of the various types of networks, such as the cell phone, LANs, and Wide Area Networks.
  3. Analyze operation of basic analog electronic circuits and digital circuits that would be key parts of an interface for sensors and device control circuits over networks.
  4. Solve problems with simple networks and connected devices such as PCs, routers and switches networking devices such as routers.
