The global consulting firm McKinsey & Company, in its recently published study "The Business Value of Design" from October 2018, demonstrated that companies that view design and the use of creativity as the main drivers of their value creation far outperform industry benchmarks.
Comprehensive developments through digitization, changing marketplaces and consumer behavior have created a new professional playing field between creative design, business strategy and IT processes. Innovation-oriented companies are increasingly looking for managers who understand how to use design as a driving factor for business decisions and to incorporate thinking and an artistic attitude into the business world - as strategic assets in generating innovation and sustainable consumer benefits as well as in transforming the organization and vision of a business.
