Eligibility

  • High school secondary school academic record. Original copies of all diplomas, certificates, grade reports and test results received upon completion of high school.
  • Transfer Students:
    - If you have completed any college or university-level courses, you are required to present an official transcript from each college/university attended.
    - If you have studied at a college/university outside of the U.S., you must submit an evaluation of credits from an approved international credential evaluation. 
    - Academic records are reviewed based on a minimum 2.0 (4.0 system) cumulative grade point average (GPA) having a minimum of 12 transferable credits for transfer. Requirements may be higher if you are planning to enroll in certain academic programs.
  • Applicants must prove English proficiency by submitting ONE of the following documents: 

  • TOEFL  score of 61 or higher on the internet-based test or 500 or higher on the paper-based test.
  • IELTS score of 5.5 or higher.
  • PTE Academic score of 44 or higher
  • Completion of the ELS Level 112 intensive program.
  • A transcript demonstrating successful completion of 1 year of college-level work in English (ESL courses not applicable.)
  • Letter of recommendation from an approved ESL instructor from the Wisconsin English Language Institute .

Admission Process

1. Application along with  all the  supporting documents will be processed on the TEN Agent portal. An application fee of $30 will be charged from the student. 
2. Students will receive the admission offer either conditional or unconditional on his TEN Agent portal.
3.After getting the Offer letter(i20) , After accepting the offer Fee invoice will be generated on student account.
4.After getting the fee invoice student can pay the fee and fee receipt can be found on TEN Portal  (Ten Agents).

Description

Field Experience courses provide the opportunity for placement or internships in a variety of criminal justice positions. Field work positions have been available in city and county law enforcement agencies, federal and state correctional institutions, probation and parole programs, the district attorney’s office and in detention, shelter care and treatment centers. Placements in federal justice agencies in Washington D.C. are available. Students interested in the Field Experience option are responsible for their own application and placement with an appropriate agency in consultation with the Criminal Justice Program Coordinator. All potential Field Experience opportunities must be approved by the Field Experience Instructor prior to the student beginning the position with the agency.

Criminal Justice major transfer students must earn at least 12 credits of coursework in the major program at Edgewood, with a least 4 of those credits from a criminal justice course. Criminal Justice majors minoring in Sociology will be required to take at least 12 credits of sociology in addition to the sociology courses for their major.
