Eligibility

  • High school secondary school academic record. Original copies of all diplomas, certificates, grade reports and test results received upon completion of high school.
  • Transfer Students:
    - If you have completed any college or university-level courses, you are required to present an official transcript from each college/university attended.
    - If you have studied at a college/university outside of the U.S., you must submit an evaluation of credits from an approved international credential evaluation. 
    - Academic records are reviewed based on a minimum 2.0 (4.0 system) cumulative grade point average (GPA) having a minimum of 12 transferable credits for transfer. Requirements may be higher if you are planning to enroll in certain academic programs.
  • Applicants must prove English proficiency by submitting ONE of the following documents: 

  • TOEFL  score of 61 or higher on the internet-based test or 500 or higher on the paper-based test.
  • IELTS score of 5.5 or higher.
  • PTE Academic score of 44 or higher
  • Completion of the ELS Level 112 intensive program.
  • A transcript demonstrating successful completion of 1 year of college-level work in English (ESL courses not applicable.)
  • Letter of recommendation from an approved ESL instructor from the Wisconsin English Language Institute .

Admission Process

1. Application along with  all the  supporting documents will be processed on the TEN Agent portal. An application fee of $30 will be charged from the student. 
2. Students will receive the admission offer either conditional or unconditional on his TEN Agent portal.
3.After getting the Offer letter(i20) , After accepting the offer Fee invoice will be generated on student account.
4.After getting the fee invoice student can pay the fee and fee receipt can be found on TEN Portal  (Ten Agents).

Description

The department may accept a maximum of 12 transfer credits in state-approved Human Services or Social Work courses. All transfer credits are subject to the approval of the Department of Safety and Professional Services.

The Criminal Justice major is an inter-disciplinary program anchored by a Sociological perspective, with a focus on compassion, human rights, and ethics.  The Criminal Justice major seeks to educate students to become criminal justice professionals who are able to handle the technical, psychological, and ethical challenges a career in a criminal justice occupation requires.  The Criminal Justice major is appropriate for those interested in a variety of careers in areas such as policing, probation, corrections, crime prevention programs, social service agencies addressing social problems such as poverty, at-risk youth, addiction, or other social issues related to crime.  The Criminal Justice major also serves as a Pre-law program for those interested in attending law school.
