Hospitality is a thriving and growing industry with job opportunities continuing to increase. The Hospitality HND Management course offers a diverse range of subjects. Hospitality as a discipline is often underestimated by people who have never tried to serve others and don’t know the pleasure and satisfaction it brings. This course will ensure you are on your way to a fulfilling career within this dynamic, fast-changing and expanding industry. Edinburgh College has exceptional facilities and you will gain essential experience in our restaurants and kitchens.
In year one there is a mandatory 80 hours of work experience that can be carried out throughout the year giving you excellent on-the-job training to prepare you for your future career. You will participate in a programme of visits to hotels and other businesses operating within the hospitality and events industry. There will be opportunities to take part in competitions and you are encouraged to take advantage of the many volunteering opportunities available to you as an HND Hospitality student. Year two will cover a range of management topics as well as specialist units in alcohol and accounting. The course will ensure you are well prepared to progress onto further training opportunities at degree level or into employment at supervisory level.
