Eligibility

Campbellsville University is authorized under federal law to enroll non-immigrant international students. Undergraduate international students will take the following steps to gain admission to the University:

  1. Demonstrated English proficiency (for students whose English is not a native language) by:
    1. Presenting an official TOEFL score report of 61 (or higher on the IBT) or 500 (or higher on the IBT)
    2. Presenting an official IELTS score report of 5 or higher
    3. Presenting an official PTE score report of 52 or higher
    4. Presenting an official English Proficiency Test score report of an unlisted agency, approved by the ESLI program.
  2. Successful completion of the ESLI’s program Official SAT I or ACT exam results (required for native English speaking students only)
  3. Copy of Secondary School Transcript
  4. Copy of all University / College Transcripts (if you have 24 credit hours or more, it is not necessary to send the Secondary School Transcript)
  5. A copy of each transcript in English
  6. Provide an approved evaluation of Secondary School Transcripts and all University/College Transcripts outside of the U.S. through (but not limited to) one of the following:
    1. World Education Services evaluation (www.wes.org). If you have never attended a college or university, select the Document evaluation. If you have had any college or university, select the Course-by-Course evaluation. Please be sure to include Campbellsville University as a recipient on the application.
    2. Josef Silny & Associates (www.jsilny.org). On their webpage, go to the Foreign Credential Evaluations section and select the evaluation most appropriate for your academic history.
    3. InCred Evaluation (www.incredevals.org). For International Student Athletes only, this must be completed and received by CU before students are considered eligible for practice and play.
    4. Students who have already began university courses, should bring English translations of their course descriptions to be utilized for university credit transfer.
  7. Bank Statement showing sufficient, liquid funds, covering the required costs to study for one academic year, dated within the past three (3) months of the application date. All bank statements must be accompanied by an affidavit of support, filled out by the financial sponsor of the student.

Once the admission decision is final a certificate of eligibility as a non-immigrant international student (form 1-20) will be issued to the student and sent via express shipping. Upon arrival on campus student will be required to take a class placement exam.

Admission Process

1. Application along with all the supporting documents will be processed on the "The Edu Network" portal.

College will Check your Application Status to ensure we have received all required documents to evaluate your application.

2. Once academically accepted to Campbellsville University, you will request an I-20 from the Center for Global Engagement. You will need to submit the required information to request the I-20.

Description

The online Bachelor of Science in Learning & Behavior Disorders (P–12)/Elementary Education (P–5) Initial Certification degree is a dual licensure program that prepares you to become a special education and elementary education teacher. Earn your bachelor’s degree and two licensures with one online program and complete your undergraduate education faster while saving money.

Courses for the dual licensure program are taught through an interactive, online learning platform. Our faculty are education experts who bring real-world teaching experience into the online classroom.

As you complete each course, you’ll build expert skills in learning theory, concentration methodology, classroom management, differentiating instruction and more. You’ll also complete a student teaching opportunity that will allow you to gain hands-on experience working with current teachers and students inside the classroom.

When you complete the online Learning & Behavior Disorders (P–12)/Elementary Education (P–5) Initial Certification dual licensure program, you’ll be prepared for the Praxis exam and to start a career in elementary education and/or special education in Kentucky. You’ll also have the credential to pursue advanced academic opportunities, including graduate education. You’ll enter the workforce with a bachelor’s degree, two licenses and a competitive edge in your field.

Campbellsville’s education programs are accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and are approved by the Education Professional Standards Board of Kentucky (EPSB) for teacher education and certification.
