Campbellsville University is authorized under federal law to enroll non-immigrant international students. Undergraduate international students will take the following steps to gain admission to the University:
Once the admission decision is final a certificate of eligibility as a non-immigrant international student (form 1-20) will be issued to the student and sent via express shipping. Upon arrival on campus student will be required to take a class placement exam.

Campbellsville University’s online Bachelor of Science in Special Education – Learning Behavior Disorders (P–12) provides the skills, knowledge, and initial certification you need to teach primary through 12th-grade students with learning and behavior disorders in Kentucky. While the program requires clinical experience, the coursework and format are 100% online. You can complete your degree in four years or less, depending on the number of transfer credits.
Our curriculum combines general education content with a comprehensive study of special education theory and methods. You will learn to design lesson plans for diverse learners, create classroom experiences for various abilities, and work with elementary students with various learning disabilities and behaviors.
You will also complete 16 weeks of student teaching to apply what you’ve learned in real special education classrooms. We provide personalized placement assistance to identify student teaching opportunities in your community.
Graduates of the B.S. in Special Education program are prepared for Praxis® exams and have the initial licensure required to teach special education from primary through 12th grade. We also offer a dual certification option in elementary education. Students pursuing the special education major may choose to complete a second major in elementary education, opening doors to more opportunities.
Our faculty are education experts who bring real-world teaching experience into the online classroom. Campbellsville’s education programs are accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). The programs are approved by the Education Professional Standards Board of Kentucky (EPSB) for teacher education and certification.
