Description

The Communication Disorders Program offers curriculum for a major in communication disorders, pre-professional preparation in speech-language pathology or audiology, and supportive coursework for students of other majors who may be interested in human communication or its disorders. Students will take a variety of courses that cover the normal aspects, nature, and development of speech, language and hearing, as well as various disorders associated with these processes. Students receive practical, supervised clinical experiences with people who have communication disorders. The Communication Disorders Program is blended with Augustana’s broad liberal arts foundation to prepare students for graduate study in speech-language pathology or audiology.
