Data science is an interdisciplinary field that uses scientific methods, processes, algorithms and systems to extract knowledge and insights from data in various forms, both structured and unstructured.
The technical courses provide the tools to work with data and create models while the domain knowledge courses help one understand what it is they are looking at — the meaning in the data. The data scientist also needs to be a good communicator. Technical experts that are able to communicate their results to multiple audiences in both written and oral forms are in high demand in today’s work environment.
