Requirements to Apply for UNG Acceptance

• Earned grade point average of 3.0 or higher
• All coursework attempts will be used for GPA calculations
• Completion of the Health Educations Systems Inc. (HESI) Admission Assessment (A2) Exam with a minimum score of 75%
• Completion of a minimum of 35 credit hours with a grade of “C” or higher
  • 35 minimum hours must include:
    • 12 hours of required science
    • 6 hours of English
    • 3 hours of required Math (MATH 1111 or higher)
• Applicants must complete all remaining core courses with a grade of "C" or higher
• All program requirements must be complete prior to the start of the BSN program

1. Application along with all the supporting documents will be processed on the "The Edu Network" portal. An application fee of $40 will be charged from the student. 

College will Check your Application Status to ensure we have received all required documents to evaluate your application.

2. Once academically accepted to UNG, you will request an I-20 from the Center for Global Engagement. You will need to submit the required information to request the I-20.

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program is for students who want to become a registered nurse. Through rigorous classes, practice in our simulation labs, and intensive clinical experiences, you'll be prepared to be a nurse generalist with knowledge and skills to practice in acute and community settings.

Upon graduation, you will be eligible to take the national licensure exam (NCLEX-RN) required for practice as a professional registered nurse.

What You Need to Apply to UNG

• Financial Statement: Sponsor's Official Bank Statement to demonstrate you can meet UNG estimated tuition and living expenses.
• A copy of your passport information and expiration page.
• Transcripts: Records from the last school attended. If the school was a college, university, or high school within the US, official transcripts must be sent directly from the awarding institution to the International Education Center at SMC. US transcripts must show a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
• Application Fee: The fee to apply is $40.00 USD and is nonrefundable.
• Proof of English Proficiency.
• Essay: Write a personal essay (must be at least 500 words) explaining your reason(s) for applying to University of North Georgia.
