Eligibility

To be admitted to California State University San Marcos (CSU), applicants must meet the following academic requirements: 

High school: Applicants must have a completed high school diploma or secondary degree

Academic  Percentage: Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA  in Academic.

English proficiency: Applicants must meet the minimum required English proficiency 

IELTS Academic  -  5.5  overall with a minimum 5.5 in  each skill 
PTE                      -  50 overall with a minimum 50 in  each skill 
TOEFL Ibt            -   61 overall with a minimum 15 in each skill

Admission Process

Step 1. Application along with supporting documents will be processed on The Edu Network portal.

Step 2. The student will receive the admission offer either conditional or unconditional on his The Edu Network portal. After accepting the offer a Fee invoice will be generated on the student account.

Step 3. After getting the fee invoice student can pay the fee and the fee receipt can be found on The Edu Network portal (Ten Agents).

Description

The Criminology and Justice Studies major is offered through the Sociology Department. This major draws on the intellectual traditions of sociology and critical criminology to understand the social correlates of crime and justice. The major provides students with a theoretical and practical foundation for building a lifelong understanding of crime and social justice and the myriad social processes surrounding both. Students majoring in Criminology and Justice Studies will be able to evaluate critically issues of crime and justice and to pursue solutions for positive social change. The degree also provides students with the requisite skills for graduate study and/or entry-level practice in the areas of social justice, administration of justice, and criminal justice systems.

*The Criminology and Justice Studies, B.A. is offered through Extended Learning.
