Eligibility

For entry to a bachelor’s degree (year 3), we will consider the following qualifications:

  • A recognised foundation programme

  • International Baccalaureate Diploma

  • International Advanced Levels (A Levels)

  • HSC/Standard 12 with an overall average of 50% from the West Bengal exam board

  • HSC/Standard 12 with an overall average of 55% from the following exam boards: Delhi, Mumbai, Tamil Nadu, Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations New Delhi (CISCE), Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)

  • HSC/Standard 12 with an overall average of 60% with at least 40% in a minimum of 5 subjects from any other exam board

English proficiency: Applicants must meet the minimum required English proficiency:

IELTS Academic -     6.0 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each skill  

PTE Academy     -     60 overall with a minimum of 59 in each skill

TOEFL( IBT)        -     80 Overall Listening - 17 Reading - 18 Writing 17 Speaking 20

Admission Process

Step 1. Application along with supporting documents will be processed on The Edu Network portal.

Step 2. The student will receive the admission offer either conditional or unconditional on his The Edu Network portal. After accepting the offer a Fee invoice will be generated on the student account.

Step 3. After getting the fee invoice student can pay the fee and the fee receipt can be found on The Edu Network portal (Ten Agents).

Syllabus
Description

Introduction

Learn about the behaviour and welfare of companion animals, and prepare for a career in the burgeoning pet industry, with our Animal Management (Pet Behaviour and Welfare) degree at ARU in Writtle.

With pet ownership levels in the UK rising in recent years, there’s increased demand for services such as professional trainers and behaviourists.

Our industry-focused course prepares you for employment in a range of companion animal roles.

You’ll be taught by specialist staff, and benefit from campus facilities including dedicated canine and equine centres, a small animal unit and a working farm. Throughout your course, there’s the chance to join ‘behind the scenes’ trips and other experiences.

We offer a number of animal management degrees at ARU in Writtle, with a common first year and the chance to specialise in years 2-3. With our Animal Management (Pet Behaviour and Welfare) course, your focus will be on animal behaviour, training and welfare, as well as professional practice.

Our degree course is recognised by the Animal Behaviour and Training Council (ABTC). As a graduate, you’ll be ready to work as an animal trainer, animal training instructor, animal behaviour technician or clinical animal behaviourist.
