Our Master of Science in Human Resource Management candidates are highly motivated professionals intent on reaching that next level of leadership success. Admission to the program is competitive. Applications are evaluated holistically based on a variety of factors including undergraduate GPA, employment experience, a statement of purpose, letters of recommendations, and standardized test scores. Our admissions team carefully screens each application to ensure candidates are an optimal fit for the program demands and objectives.
To be eligible for admission to the MSHRM program, applicants must demonstrate academic and professional preparedness. Admissions are based on a portfolio approach:
*A minimum of five years of professional full-time work experience of which three years are in human resources is preferred but not required. Applicants with professional, non-human resource work experience may also be considered. If no work experience, a graduate degree from an accredited university with a 3.0 GPA may be considered.
**GMAT/GRE may be waived for applicants with strong academic credentials. Applicants with a 3.0 or higher GPA are likely to be waived from the GRE/GMAT exam.
An interview may be requested upon submission of a complete portfolio.
Applicants who hold an undergraduate or graduate degree from an institution where the language of instruction is not English must demonstrate English proficiency by taking either:
TOEFL and IELTS test scores are considered official when sent by the testing center directly to our school. When requesting the official scores, please refer to the Florida International University Institution code 5206.
1. Application along with all the supporting documents will be processed on the "The Edu Network" portal. An application fee of $30 will be charged from the student.
College will Check your Application Status to ensure we have received all required documents to evaluate your application.
2. Once academically accepted to FIU, you will request an I-20 from the Center for Global Engagement. You will need to submit the required information to request the I-20.
