Eligibility

Admission requirements vary by program but, at a minimum, most CapU programs require successful completion of:

  • B.C. secondary school (Grade 12) or equivalent (B.C. Adult Dogwood Graduation Diploma or General Education Diploma). International students: See International Secondary School Equivalencies (pdf).
  • A minimum grade point average of 2.0 (60%) calculated on English Studies 12 or English 12 or English First Peoples 12 and two academic Grade 12 courses.

Once you are admitted, you may need to pass the English Diagnostic Test if you are taking English 100, or the Math Placement Test to gain admission to certain entry-level Math courses.

If English is not your first language or you’ve received your education in a language other than English you must take one of the following English language assessment tests:

  • TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)

Admission Process

1. Application along with supporting documents will be processed on TEN Agent portal.
2. Non-refundable application fee of $135 will be charged from the student and it will be paid by credit card only .
3. Student will receive the admission offer either conditional or unconditional on his TEN Agent portal.After accepting the offer Fee invoice will be generated on student account.
4.After getting the fee invoice student can pay the fee and fee receipt can be found on TEN Portal  (Ten Agents)'.

Description

Interested in a career in tourism? Learn the basics of sales and marketing and explore your interest with an elective in eco-tourism, hotels, events and more.

If you don't have the admission requirements to enter the diploma or degree, this introductory program enables you get started on your tourism management studies while completing your academic upgrading. You'll learn the basics about the industry and how the different relationships between partners work. You'll also learn about the sales process and explore different marketing strategies. Once you've completed your upgrading you can ladder directly into the diploma or degree.
