Eligibility

In order to attend Selkirk College you must meet the admission requirements for the College and for the program you wish to enrol in.

Selkirk College's Admission Requirements:

  • Have graduated from a BC Senior Secondary School or equivalent, or
  • Be 19 years of age or over at the time of application, or
  • Be under 19 years of age but have a written recommendation from your Secondary School Principal

First-time applicants may be required to take the College Readiness Tool (CRT). Please refer to your acceptance letter to determine if you need to take the CRT. 

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Completion of BC English 12 or equivalent with a minimum of 60% or higher or
  • completion, with a grade of "C+" or better, advanced core courses in the Selkirk College English Language Program and Provincial Level English 51; or
  • submission of a TOEFL score of IBT 80 or better; or
  • submission of an IELTS score of 6.0 with no individual band less than 5.5 or better;
  • Applicants who have previously completed a related certificate and are returning for entry into the second year of a Human Services Diploma are required to provide evidence of completion of a certificate in ECCE, EACSW, SSW or equivalent within the last five years. Acceptance for those who graduated prior to five years will be based on evidence of work in the human service field and/or professional development.

Admission Process

1. Application along with supporting documents will be processed on TEN Agent portal.
2. Application fee of 100$ will be charged from the student and it will be paid by credit card only 
3. Student will receive the admission offer either conditional or unconditional on his TEN Agent portal.After accepting the offer Fee invoice will be generated on student account.
4.After getting the fee invoice student can pay the fee and fee receipt can be found on TEN Portal  (Ten Agents).
