Immerse yourself in the literature, sports, music, and politics of Latin America. UFV Latin American Studies minor or extended minor introduces you to the dynamics of this significant economic zone and offers insight into the diversity, drama, and beauty of the region.
Explore issues facing by developing countries using an interdisciplinary approach. In your lower level courses, learn about the Aztecs, Mayas, and Spaniards, the importance of soccer and songs, and the impacts of globalization. Your upper-level courses examine African slavery, religion, sexuality, and gender, and the processes of development and underdevelopment.
