Syllabus

First year (60 ECTS)

Practical activity from the first semester, integrating each organ and healthy system from the anatomical, physiological and diagnostic imaging perspective by ultrasound, radiology, resonance or CT in the Structure and Function facilities of the Veterinary Simulation Hospital.

We go a little further and integrate the exploration procedures in the main species with clinical involvement, laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging, studying animals and their behavior both in the Clinical Hospital and through simulation scenarios. You can now choose to study such exciting subjects as veterinary biotechnology or Biodiversity and conservation.

We began to study each animal species separately, such as the equine clinic, as well as clinical specialties, such as dermatology in small species, while we started in animal production in the Teaching Farm or food technology in the Food Technology Pilot Complex.

While we delve into the specialties of small animals, such as neurology or reproduction, we address the clinic and management of livestock species as important as cattle, pigs, birds or rabbits. You will have the opportunity to study physiotherapy and rehabilitation techniques or Clinical management and communication.

Fifth year (60 ECTS)

In the last year you will train in emergencies and hospitalization, the clinic of exotic animals, the management of other productive species such as small ruminants, bees or fish. The subject of veterinary research will prepare you to tackle your Final Degree Project as a true veterinary researcher thanks to the Center for Applied Animal Research and you will do six full months of professional practices rotating through all the veterinary facilities, as well as in companies that you can choose from a wide offer.
