Public health is a science that aims to protect and promote the health of all people and the communities in which they live, work, learn and play. Specifically, the field of public health aims to prevent disease and injury.
The Manhattan College public health program aims to educate students on the core principles of public health knowledge to address health outcomes of the population through equity, policy and action.
Students in the public health major receive a strong fundamental education focused on community impact, health equity, and social justice, which contributes to the mission of Manhattan College, the School of Education and Health and the greater Lasallian community.
