Learn modern strategies from industry professionals
Marketing isn’t just about promotions and ads. Learn how to build a marketing plan through market research, marketing strategy and working in tandem with all areas of a business. Sheridan’s marketing instructors bring passion and industry experience into the classroom while ensuring curriculum is constantly updated to meet current industry demands.
Specialize or diversify your marketing knowledge
In the first two years of your studies, you’ll build a solid foundation in general business fundamentals. Beginning in Year 3, you can choose from a range of electives, allowing you to specialize in one area of marketing or branch out across various fields. You’ll also put your new skills to work during a mandatory internship and optional co-op.
Collaborative and hands-on learning
Today’s work world has changed. Top employability skills now include critical thinking, collaboration across networks and leading by influence, communication and entrepreneurship. Our small classes and experiential learning approach promote the development of these skills through constant interaction with your professors and peers.
Creative problem solving for the modern business world
Complement your Marketing Management degree with a unique certificate that demonstrates your ability to think creatively! In addition to your core BBA courses, you’ll have the opportunity to take different breadth electives that will enable you to obtain a Sheridan Board Undergraduate Certificate in Creativity and Creative Problem Solving. 50% of our June 2019 BBA graduates earned this optional certificate, which is endorsed by the State University of New York.
Courses in the certificate include:
Critical Employability and 21st Century Skills
The Honours BBA programs were designed to ensure graduates acquire the ability to apply a range of business frameworks, critical employability and 21st century skills to better prepare them to meaningfully contribute and add value to the organizations and communities they serve. With this in mind you will complete 3 required courses: Becoming a Master Learner – an introductory course designed to provide you with the tools and strategies to help you succeed, Undergraduate Competency Development – designed to develop your skill sets around the key Competencies required to achieve success in business and society and BBA Portfolio – create a career-ready showcase e-portfolio that chronicles your development of the BBA Undergrad Competencies.
Flexible learning options
Sheridan's marketing degree offers flexible learning options that fit into your busy life. You can choose to study part-time while you work or take a full-time course load. With morning, afternoon and some evening classes available, we make learning around your schedule convenient and simple.
