What’s the difference between logistics and supply chain management?
If logistics are different parts of the body, the supply chain is the brain. In the fast-growing field of supply chain management, you’ll oversee and coordinate purchase of materials, production, storage and delivery of products. Master how to manage business endeavours, balance supply and demand and gain skills key to any organization's success.
Take a creative approach to resolving business issues
The slightest changes to a company's materials, inventory, transportation or marketing strategy can have huge ripple effects on the rest of the business. Learn how different departments depend on each other and use creative thinking to come up with solutions that benefit the entire company.
Enjoy collaborative and hands-on learning
Today's work world has changed. Top employability skills now include critical thinking, collaboration, leadership, communication and entrepreneurship. Our small class sizes and applied learning approach allow you to develop these skills in an interactive environment. You can then refine your new skills through a mandatory internship and optional co-op.
Creative problem solving for the modern business world
Complement your Supply Chain Management degree with a unique certificate that demonstrates your ability to think creatively! In addition to your core BBA courses, you’ll have the opportunity to take electives that will enable you to earn a Sheridan Board Undergraduate Certificate in Creativity and Creative Problem Solving. 50% of our June 2019 BBA graduates earned this optional certificate, which is endorsed by the State University of New York.
Courses in the certificate include:
Critical Employability and 21st Century Skills
The Honours BBA programs were designed to ensure graduates acquire the ability to apply a range of business frameworks, critical employability and 21st century skills to better prepare them to meaningfully contribute and add value to the organizations and communities they serve. With this in mind you will complete 3 required courses: Becoming a Master Learner – an introductory course designed to provide you with the tools and strategies to help you succeed, Undergraduate Competency Development – designed to develop your skill sets around the key Competencies required to achieve success in business and society and BBA Portfolio – create a career-ready showcase e-portfolio that chronicles your development of the BBA Undergrad Competencies.
Flexible learning options
Sheridan's Supply Chain Management degree offers flexible learning options that fit into your busy life. You can choose to study part-time while you work or take a full-time course load. With morning, afternoon and some evening classes available, we make learning around your schedule convenient and simple.
Become a Certified Supply Chain Management Professional
Sheridan has established an articulation agreement with Supply Chain Canada. This means that, as a graduate of this program, you may be eligible for advanced standing in Supply Chain Canada's Certified Supply Chain Management Professional (CSCMP) Designation program. Advanced standing is applied through coursework exemptions, so you'll be able to earn this valuable and widely respected credential in less time.
